Hay is grass, legumes or other herbaceous plants that have been cut, dried, and stored for used as animal feed. It is primarily used from grazing cattle, horses, goats and sheep. Hay Grinders are used by farmers, ranchers, back grounding lots, commercial feed yards, and custom grinding operations.

A lot of feeders contain mixer boxes. This limits what can be feed onto the roughage end of the grinder.

How it works

The hay crop is moved across the cylinder for grinding. The feed control contains moveable covers that standardizes the size of the effective inlet opening to the cylinder to control the amount of forage which can contact the cylinder at any one time.

Most hay grinders contain hydraulic tilt tubs, steel discharge auger, oversized high capacity radiator and top drive elevators, as well as heavy-duty commercial-use construction to make them fast and efficient as they work.
