Hay Grinder

August 23rd, 2010 industrialtech No comments

hay_grinderHay is grass, legumes or other herbaceous plants that have been cut, dried, and stored for used as animal feed. It is primarily used from grazing cattle, horses, goats and sheep. Hay Grinders are used by farmers, ranchers, back grounding lots, commercial feed yards, and custom grinding operations.

A good quality Hay grinder not only grinds hay, as the name suggests, but is also capable of grinding virtually any type of forage or grain, wet or dry. This makes it a very versatile piece of machinery to have on a farm.

A lot of feeders contain mixer boxes. This limits what can be feed onto the roughage end of the grinder.

How it works

hay_grinder2The hay crop is moved across the cylinder for grinding. The feed control contains moveable covers that standardizes the size of the effective inlet opening to the cylinder to control the amount of forage which can contact the cylinder at any one time.

Most hay grinders contain hydraulic tilt tubs, steel discharge auger, oversized high capacity radiator and top drive elevators, as well as heavy-duty commercial-use construction to make them fast and efficient as they work.

industrial_compactorsIndustrial compactors are used to process wastes, rubber, textiles, fibers and other low-density materials into a finished compact shape for easy and efficient disposal. This makes it easier and cheaper to handle and transport.

Industrial compactors contain a hydraulic or pneumatic press that crushes materials and compacts them into much smaller units. Specialised compactors can also conduct fluid extraction and recovery processes as well.

Industrial compactors can be used for a variety of different applications and industries such as to flatten, crush, or compress cans, drums, bottles, fibrous materials, barrels, food products, textiles, metals, paper, plastics, corrugated materials  and rubber. Industrial compactors are usually used in manufacturing facilities, warehouses, junk yards, reclamation centers, landfills, smelters, hospitals, ships and airports.
